CHANG-YONG NAM

Gertrude and Maurice Goldhaber Distinguished Fellow at the Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL). Affiliated in Center for Functional Nanomaterials (CFN) working with Dr. Charles (Chuck) Black in the field of nanostructured organic-inorganic hybrid photovoltaics.  Received Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Prof. John (Jack) Fischer at the University of Pennsylvania in May 2007.

  • Rational development of high-efficiency organic-inorganic hybrid photovoltaic device utilizing nanostructures
  • Nanopattern generation by self-assembled diblock copolymer template
  • Understanding physical properties (e.g. electrical, thermal, thermoelectric & mechanical) in materials with reduced dimension
  • Synthesis of semiconducting nanowires and carbon nanotubes, and their applications in novel electrical/optoelectronic devices
